Our Teacher
Katie is a seasoned early childhood and elementary educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education as well as a masters degree in Teaching and Learning. She has experience serving children and their families from birth through third grade. She is also a mom to three beautiful young boys.
Educational Philosophy
Young children have a natural curiosity instilled in them. At Homegrown, we will draw upon this curiosity to help each child develop a deep love for learning. We recognize and celebrate that each child is unique, and will move along their learning path at their own pace. It is our great pleasure and joy to walk alongside you and your child on this journey.
Our Day
Each aspect of our day has been thoughtfully and intentionally designed to provide a child centered approach that balances teacher-led and child-led activities. Our days follow a consistent pattern, yet also provides flexibility whenever it is needed.
Curriculum
Our core preschool curriculum is The Good and the Beautiful—an award winning homeschool curriculum written with a Biblical worldview. It is well balanced and imaginative, which is a great fit for little learners. Homegrown also promotes learning through monthly themes and teacher created experiences, projects, and activities.
