Daily Routine
Homegrown Preschool blends the structure and routine of a traditional preschool program with the flexibility and responsiveness of an in-home environment. Although the times will vary from day to day, preschoolers will thrive as we will follow the same routine each day.

Arrival & Breakfast
Everyone loves a gentle start to the day. At Homegrown, we ease into our mornings by allowing preschoolers plenty of time to organize their belongings, enjoy a nutritious meal, and socialize before we begin our morning circle time.
Circle Time
Circle time provides a great opportunity for children to practice social skills and engage in a variety of group learning opportunities. Children will learn about the calendar, weather, and our weekly theme!

Morning Lessons
Children will engage in developmentally appropriate one-on-one teacher-led activities. While not working with the teacher, children will enjoy child-led play time.
Morning Snack
Children will enjoy a well-balanced snack and the opportunity to socialize with their peers.

Bible
Daily Bible time helps children draw closer to one another and to God as together we learn more about God’s deep love for us.
Outdoor Time
Daily outdoor time is refreshing for both the mind and body! It also is a great way for children to exercise, burn some energy, and simply explore and enjoy the great outdoors.

Lunch
Meal time is a great time to teach children about our bodies and nutrition. It also provides a great opportunity to practice conversation skills with their peers.
Rest Time
After a busy morning a bit of rest time is well due. Children who desire to sleep may do so, while others may just rest calmly and enjoy music or an audio book.

Read to Self
Reading to self provides children an opportunity to develop early literacy skills while also promoting a love of reading for enjoyment.
Daily Special
Daily specials are a great way to incorporate a bit of variety into our routine. Each day children will be able to look forward to an exciting activity aligning with our daily focus.

Afternoon Snack
Children will enjoy a well-balanced snack and the opportunity to socialize with their peers.
Child-Led Playtime
Playtime provides a space for children to develop and practice a wide variety of real-life skills and problem solving. This is a great time for the teacher to engage with children on their level.

Classroom Clean-Up
Children will work together to care of our space by assisting with end of day clean up. They will also pack up their belonging in preparation for going home.
Teacher-Directed Activities & Departure
Doing simple easy to clean up activities at the end of the day makes for smooth and easy departures.
